The Madagascan sunset moth is a species of moth, not a butterfly. A day-flying moth, but a moth nonetheless that is unsurprisingly found in Madagascar. It is incredibly popular and sought after because of the rainbow of colours visible on its wings. The green-banded urania is another stunning moth found on the other side of the world in Peru. This moth is known to aggregate on urine tainted ground to collect the minerals from it.

A couple of Chrysiridia rhipheus & Urania leilus butterfly specimens in a premium open grain wooden frame. The scientific and common names are printed on acid free card and the frame is sealed with silicone to keep the specimens safe from hungry museum beetles and other such pests. 

Care & Maintenance

Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity. You can wipe the frames clean with a dry cloth but be careful; they are delicate!
