The Madagascan sunset moth is a gorgeous species of moth, not a butterfly. A day-flying moth, but a moth nonetheless that is unsurprisingly found in Madagascar. It is incredibly popular and sought after because of the rainbow of colours visible on its wings.

A Chrysiridia rhipheus moth specimen in a premium open grain wooden frame. The scientific and common names are printed on acid free card and the frame is sealed with silicone to keep the specimens safe from hungry museum beetles and other such pests. 

Note: this specimen is missing antennae as pictured.

Care & Maintenance

Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity. You can wipe the frames clean with a dry cloth but be careful; they are delicate!
