These butterflies close their wings immediately upon landing, presumably to avoid predation as their bright blue wings are eye catchers.

A Morpho achilles specimen in a premium open grain wooden frame. The scientific and common names are printed on acid free card and the frame is sealed with silicone to keep the specimens safe from hungry museum beetles and other such pests. 

Note: this specimen has slight damage to the left forewing (pictured) and is therefor discounted.

Care & Maintenance

Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity. You can wipe the frames clean with a dry cloth but be careful; they are delicate!
